John Michael "Scully" O'Sullivan

John Michael "Scully" O'Sullivan, Taken from us way too soon...

My daughters would go with thier father during the summers and holidays to their beach home in Shelter Cove. They would always come home and talk about the time they spent with the O'Sullivans and that they were from Amador County and the older kids were in the same class. I thought that was so ironic. They would often talk about John and how I just had to meet him. They were sure I would like him. They said he was the funniest guy and how he loved soccer. My youngest daughter said things got "real serious" when a game was on.They would tell me about his stories and that he is "Irish" mom. My kids played with their kids at the beach and went to each others houses during those summers. My girls loved them! Well, four years ago I finally got to meet the O'Sullivans at a back to school night. I walked away from that meeting thinking to myself WOW he is a "say what you mean and mean what you say kinda fellow". I instantly liked John for that. We were then invited to a birthday party at their home. I will never forget how kind John was to me and my family. We shared the love of cattle so he took us on a walking tour of the ranch and showed us his beautiful cows he was SO proud of. He even shared a few glasses of wine from his vineyard;-) My older daughters very first date was with their son. We will never forget when the ENTIRE family picked her up for the dance. That was the sweetest thing! There are two things I know about John O'Sullivan, he was a no nonsense guy and he absolutely LOVED his wife, children and homeland. He was kind to my girls and they loved him. My girls have lots of fond memories of John that they will carry with them forever! We think of Krista and the kids all the time.
